The Northeast Conference Brought us Our First Upset, Bobby Morris

3 Conferences were in play today and although we saw plenty of close calls in terms of possible upsets, only 1 major upset happened.  Robert Morris knocked off the 2 seed LIU Brooklyn, which gave a loss to 48% of the pool.

Everyone who picked LIU Brooklyn deserved to lose for supporting a team in which players get busted for creating meth labs.  And Tina, this is the closest picture to a sad LIU Player/Fan that I could find, hope it cheers you up.

It's nice to have so much movement in the standing so early on, and we'll have much more movement tomorrow.

Conferences in play Today

  • All the higher seeded teams in the America East advanced
  • 3 of the 4 higher seeded teams in the NEC advanced with Mount St. Mary's and Wagner giving people a scare
  • Murray State and Tennessee Tech is tied and I am tired, so going to bed now

2 more conferences start Thursday, 3/2, the MAAC and the Missouri Valley Conference.  The Missouri Valley Conference tips off with the  4 lower seeds, so no impact to our pool.  The MAAC has the 6 lower seed teams in play, which also does not have an impact on our pool.

The Atlantic Sun conference is where it gets interesting tomorrow.  By tomorrow night we'll know which teams are in the championship game for the Atlantic Sun and we're guaranteed some more losses in the pool.

The Big South is also into the next round of conference tournament play, with all the teams in play.  And since we have the 4 highest seeds, we can all escape without a loss tomorrow, but let's hope for at least 1 upset!

The Ohio Valley conference will also be in play on to the next round in the conference tournament tomorrow, but it's the lower seed teams and only Murray State or Tennessee Tech is at risk for someone.

It only took 3 days for the craziness to begin, we still have 11 more days of this!
